Ghostyhook is a web-based video editing tool that allows users to add text overlays to videos. The service processes videos locally in your browser using WebAssembly technology.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
Providing accurate and complete registration information

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Ghostyhook to:

Create content that violates any law or infringes on others' rights
Upload or process content containing illegal material
Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
Create content that is defamatory, obscene, or harassing

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the videos and content you create using our Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any content you upload or create.

5.2 Our Service

The Ghostyhook platform, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. The text templates and quotes provided in our library are either original or used with permission.

6. Subscription and Payments

6.1 Free Tier

The free tier includes limited monthly video exports with a watermark. Usage limits reset at the beginning of each calendar month.

6.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

6.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Refunds are not available for:

Subscription renewals (cancel before renewal date)
One-time lifetime deals
Accounts terminated for Terms violations

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GHOSTYHOOK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
